Meet the Director
Miss Lyndsay Buesching

Lyndsay (aka "Miss Lyndsay") took over the twirling portion of the All-America City Majorettes in 1998.  Since that time she has built a student base of over 400 students.  Her credentials include taking a team of girls to a national twirling event and bringing home a national strut team championship in 2006 and a national pompon team championship in 2008.  Lyndsay is assisted by teaching assistants.

Lyndsay has 25 years of competitive twirling experience and several national level title wins in solo twirling, strutting, as well as pageant and fashion modeling. She is a licensed/certified instructor and gold seal twirling judge with the Drum Majorettes of America (DMA) organization.  In addition to her twirling background, Lyndsay is a certified Jazzercise® aerobics instructor, dance teacher, and pageant judge.  She has enjoyed performing, including acting at the Civic Theatre.  She now instills this passion in her students.

Lyndsay is an accomplished artist, can play a full set of drums,  and has a degree in graphic design from IPFW, graduating in 2004 with a 4.0 GPA and  with highest distinction.  She was selected as one of 56 students to be included in the 2004 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.  Students are selected based on their academic achievement, service to the community, leadership in extracurricular activities, and potential for continued success.  She was Miss Fort Wayne 2003.

As Miss Fort Wayne, I was provided an opportunity to serve my community as a leader, role model, and advocate for "Empowering Youth Through Structured Activities."  I have witnessed the benefits of mentoring young ladies in the Fort Wayne and surrounding areas since 1998.

Education has been a top priority in my life, and I am a firm believer that there is more to teaching and learning than in the classroom because I respect what twirling has taught me.  Baton twirling has given me the foundation in which I have secured life skills.

I am passionate about working with children, and feel a sense of accomplishment knowing that I am doing a positive thing and improving the self-esteem of young people in our community.
