2006 DMA Summer National Twirling Competition

Lyndsay has been working her Jr. strut & twirl team all summer.  They've met 2-3 days a week for up to 8 hrs a day.  They've practiced, they've sweat, they've laughed and they've cried.  They've had slumber parties, taken special ballet lessons as a group, and even done push ups.  Most importantly, they have bonded as a solid working unit and they have worked very very hard.  These 7 girls have been doing all of this for 4 performances -- 2 strut & 2 dance/twirl events -  at the DMA Nationals (Boiling Springs, NC). 

During all the prep time, their parents have driven them miles, waited for hours, spent a good deal of money, and listened A LOT.  Well - Guess What !!!  Our girls DID IT...They pulled off a true "Cinderella" story.  Going down there to compete with the level of twirlers participating in this event (actually being novice in experience by twirling standards) - THEY WON & THEY WON BIG !!!!

This group is returning home with 3 first place wins and a 2nd.  They actually pulled off a no drop strut routine.  WOW - are we proud.  When the heat was on, they rose to the occasion.
