Our Competitive Side
Where we are...now

2006 DMA National Jr. Strut Team

The Lyndsay's ACT Senior Competition Team has been working together for many years (for some, this will be their 10th year as a baton student). They have put in extra work and practice in addition to their regular twirling classes.

As a result, they have brought home two National Team Titles in the two years they have competed in a National Arena.

They are a group of girls who have showed extreme dedication and love for the sport of baton twirling.

Outstanding Pom Group

These members have demonstrated talent, potential, and/or the drive to work towards achieving a goal
(and each one of them had an exceptional parental support system).

Where we are...going
Intermediate Troupe
IT
is now
time to start developing another young competition team
Time for a second group to enter "true twirling world."

Beginning this 2008-2009 year, Lyndsay's Allen County Twirlers initiated the "Intermediate Troupe." The invitation to join the new "Intermediate Troupe" was open to any Lyndsay’s ACT member who has completed 3 or more years with the Lyndsay’s ACT baton program. They are in training to become another "advanced team." For now, this class is referred to as the “Intermediate Troupe” because the level of material surpasses beginner, but is not advanced…YET. The acronym spells “IT.”

The girls that form this new team are the next “IT” group.
As members of the "Intermediate Troupe,"
students are expected to practice outside of class and show consistent improvement.

The "Intermediate Troupe" includes members who are willing to work harder to challenge themselves and take their twirling and performing abilities to the next level.

Each month we select an outstanding member. The student earning the most points throughout the month is   our “IT” girl.

Students earn points for attendance, number of hours practiced outside of class, and through demonstrating timed baton skill drills  with proper form and technique.

For extra motivation, our “IT” girl receives her picture posted on this page. (Because the outstanding student is determined through a point system, it is possible for a student to obtain the honor more than once).  Since the point spread has been so close each month, a runner-up will also be posted.
